This is the last weekend of Uber driving on a college campus till late January. Every year like clockwork, college students come and go, and so does my earnings. And when the college students go home my Uber income drops in half.

Friday nights around a college campus have been a cash cow for me the last four years. I’ve become a master completing 50 super short trips in a night: maxing out my surges and tips. Between 10pm and 2am I routinely can make $200 or more.

But during the break I shift to morning work around the city. I’m happy earning $100 in about 5 hours of work.

Uber can be feast or famine. We can’t control the economy, other drivers, or even our market. All we can do is adapt.
