Why I Left Hawaii

She asked me why I left Hawaii to drive an Uber in Syracuse. We both agree Hawaii has better weather.

I said that I miss the Hawaii that I remember from my youth, not what I think Hawaii might be today. That Hawaii doesn't exist anymore. It's not that Hawaii today is bad; it just means it's different.

Everyone has a Hawaii that they can't go back to. No one can relive our youth. We can only move forward to our next destination.

And the next destination is worth the trip.
